callingaspade: you say that now, but when it comes to the crunch you're not going to want to lose your arm, or whatever appendage it may be, for a momentary lapse in judgement.

For the rest: It's easy to sit here and judge, but we all make mistakes in life. The animal was clearly living in the pond on the golf course, which is hazardous to all who play there and would more the likely have been euthanized anyway (for all you hicks, that means put to sleep permanently). I'm not saying it's right to do this, but in this case there is even more of a reason...so you want to fight injustice against animals, join greenpeace and save the whales!!!
