Yeah he probably used poor judgment here. But, as a retired truck driver, I can tell you we are sometimes asked to drive over things you would not believe (usually on private property). It does not always come out well.

The way those pics are taken and the angles are used, it's hard to see just what happened. In the first pic it looks like a car went in also. Some show the bridge intact but collapsed and others show the bridge gone.
