Looks like the emphasis is on the wrong thing here. To me, it's these men that are risking their lives. The only way to get just a small amount of what they're feeling is to be shot at by someone that wants to kill you.

bunch of trillion dollar state-speonsored meat-heads getting their asses kicked by Fremen (if u don't know what i mean go and read Dune, the Fremen were based on the north Pakistani/Afghani tribes). It's both horrible due to death, pain and hardship but also uber-cool as it's what happens in my fave novel. USA will never win 'cos they are afraid of death and their enemy isn't, simple.
