Stampede at Love Parade in Duisburg

Apparently, this year was the last time Love Parade was held in Germany.
19 people were killed and 511 injured during a panic stampede near a tunnel on Saturday. There was only one entrance to the festival groups, and people wouldn’t stop coming in.

Idiots bring this kind of thing on themselves. I recall the various festivals in Munich, the Oktoberfest and Fasching and thankfully nothing like this ever happened, but it is only a matter of time. The crowds in the platzes' are so dense and crowded they are like a river of humanity. You have to start swiming for the bank 100meters before you want to get out. You just get pushed along. One terrorist bomb or something to panic people and you'd have a stampede where hundreds would die.
