For "Mya patio," left, the airy patio has a roof that lets patterned, filtered light fall on Mya's sensual skin and cheerful, floral summer dress. To reduce the contrast of the light, I added some fill light with studio strobes. Since the fill lights were usually behind me, they often add a catch light to Mya's beguiling, dark eyes.
For Ruby's "jeans" gallery I was lucky in two respects. The location had a beautiful wall and couch, with colors that made a great compliment to Ruby's Native American skin. And even though I was shooting against a wall, I still had space to surround Ruby with light.
