Steven Meisel is now considered to be one of the most successful fashion photographers in the industry, shooting regularly for both US and Italian Vogue and lately W. He made this photo shoot for Italian Vogue awhile back where he stirred up some controversy with his glamorized imagery of the war in Iraq. His "Make Love Not War" series depicts sweaty, dirty soldiers in the middle of a war-zone interacting with models in a very “heated fashion." I’m not an expert but I think it depends on the message the photographer want to give to you and these messages can be different to everybody.
