Guh, 3D stuff like this always looks so cold and sterile like you're looking at creepy corpse dolls. Also doesn't help with programs like poser and the like where you're now seeing so many people making sterile 3D porn. I just can't get into it.

While these things can be cool to look at sometimes, it always feels a little bit creepy when I see some otaku with a room full of this stuff. They often come off feeling like creepy little fetish-shrines for losers who can't properly communicate with real girls. These and those anime-girl "hug pillows"... *shiver*

It's good they can have humor about that kind of thing.
And yeah, the shark one is pretty sweet!

The first few are pretty disturbing but the last one is actually kinda' sexy.
I don't know... at least it's not "dull".

I've eaten the eyeballs out of fish before. Nothing this big, but still... the taste wasn't bad.

This is priceless!

Funny how the cop is just kinda' standing there staring at them in the end.

Interesting stuff and lots of details in the dolls but I have to say the proportions are a little wonky on some of these (big adult looking head on squatty bodies, etc...). That bit of it kinda' weirds me out a little.

#18 | 12 Feb 2010 10:25 by Wibble on Weird fashion

With fashion like this it's not about creating "trendy clothes". It's about elevating the whole concept of what we wear into some kind of art or theater. It's having fun and being playful with the notions of aesthetics in what we wear. I don't see anything wrong with it at all. Some of this stuff is kinda' neat really.

#17 | 12 Feb 2010 10:19 by Wibble on Oh, God. Is it now fashionable?

What do you mean "what is the point of pubic hair" and what difference does it make if they're asian? In case you missed your biology lessons, most sexually matured humans grow pubic hair naturally. I don't blame anyone who doesn't want to go through the tedium of shaving that crap all the time!

Also, with it poking out like this... I see nothing wrong here... carry on.

They're dead, what do they care? Let the girl have her fun!

I imagine he just couldn't decide what to wear that day and just said "aww, fuck it"!

What's so terrible about this? Seems like fun to me!

Hey WTF, you're kinda' overlooking the fact that this guy wasn't just "smoking pot". You can clearly see he was into shooting up some pretty hard stuff there. While I know that the anti-drug crowd want to lump all drug use together into one but doing so is ignorant! No one has ever died from simply smoking pot. In many ways it's safer than the legal and accepted use of alcohol that many conservative anti-drug folks like to partake in themselves.

These little "things" never developed fully into a human in the first place. I'll cry for them the same amount of time I spend crying over dead cockroaches... in other words... I won't be spending any time with weepy eyes o'er this shit.

It is kinda' neat seeing all these little aborted fetus parts all over. Perhaps this could be the start of a new trend in "fetus art", eh?

I'd try one.... I've heard some good things about rat meat before.

These are kinda' neat!

Seems like an efficient and low-energy disposal to me.
I don't know why people get so touchy about death and burial stuff... it's not like a person has any use for their body after they've kicked it. The notion of "respect for the dead" is stupid. They're dead and thus require no respect!

I suppose if you don't have any good photos of 'em while they're alive, eh?
It is kinda' interesting to look at these though, in a somewhat morbid way.
The little kid on the rocking horse is strange... looks like a full on zombie-baby!

I can't help but laugh at the absurdity of some of these photos. Yet, at the same time, I can't say I have anything against hunting really. It's less environmentally destructive than getting meat from a cattle ranch or other livestock type food that most of us consume.

#6 | 12 Feb 2010 09:11 by Wibble on OMG. Live Lunch

Oh come on everyone, these things are tigers! Tigers eat meat!
The reality of nature and wild animals isn't some sanitized and sensitive affair.
I see nothing wrong with this, the tigers are getting fed and the people are getting an educational experience of witnessing the true brutality of nature.

Perhaps you feel you're somehow a better person just because you live in a sanitized environment where you can eat steak and burgers and not think of the death involved in the process. Or the meat imbued pet food you feed to your little carnivorous house cats. The fact is that nature is full of death, killing, and mutilation for the sake of survival. Sheltering yourself from that knowledge does NOT make you a more moral person!

I'd try some at least. Who knows... might be delicious?

questions, do you even know anything about Japan?

Japan and China are two entirely different countries and Japan's standard of life is pretty high. Life expectancy in Japan is also equally high on average. There are many ways where Japan is more developed than the United States even.

The problem with suicide is more of a cultural one than a "life quality" one. There are many cases where people who fall on hard times or who are disgraced in some way find it preferable to take the route of suicide.

D'awww... what an adorable bear!
Look how he tussles that man about like a ragdoll...
So precious!!

#2 | 12 Feb 2010 04:18 by Wibble on Recklessness kills. OMFG!

Yikes... well, at least her hair was still recognizable.
Can't say much in comparing the before and after of the face though...

Robin, this IS research, they are researching into the health and robustness of whale stocks with the aim of eventually resuming commercial whaling (a long overdue conclusion to an illogically absolute and drawn-out ban). Much of the research that has been done is showing that many species of whales are not only NOT endangered but also quite healthy in number!

It's funny how people will often use this type of thing here to justify their racism towards Japan. You people don't turn your eyes inward at your own selves and how your own country slaughters massive amounts of animals for food. This notion that whales are somehow "off limits" is silly isn't it? I mean, how would you feel if you had Hindus coming in and yelling at and fucking with American cattle farmers for slaughtering "sacred cows"?

If it's taboo to you, then don't eat it... but don't expect everyone else to bow down to your own cultural biases!
